The North Wales Hospital, Denbigh opened in 1848 and during it's time adminsitered to thousands of patients. A pioneer in the treatment on mental illnesses, Denbigh closed in 1995. Since closing, the hospital has heavily suffered from vandalism, weather damage and theft. When we arrived, we encountered three pikeys robbing scrap mental. Despite all the damage, Denbigh Asylum is a great explore if you ignore the dodgy floors in some places. Notable points include the intact projectors and the basement area and the more modern Secure Unit with patient graffiti on the walls to name but a few things.Back to Hospitals & Asylums
