Originally opened in 1895, Hartwood Hospital in Scotland operated as a Mental Hospital for many years up until it closed in 1995. It was considered the largest asylum in Scotland for many years however now it is a shadow of it's former self with much of the site demolished. After closure of Hartwood as a hospital, the site was used by Lanarkshire TV, something that is evident once you get inside. Much inside still remains in situ with lots of props from LTV and quite a bit of remaining items from when it was a hospital. Best bit about Hartwood would have to be the twin clock towers.
